TOWN - N - GOWN
Purpose Statement
Town-N-Gown is an independent, informal association of men and women dedicated to developing a mutual understanding between Old Dominion University and the various civilian and military communities of Greater Hampton Roads.
Membership is open to all, and dues are $25 (single or double, same address) per year. Town-N-Gown provides an opportunity for area citizens and military neighbors to join the academic community for many diverse activities.
The organization is composed of townspeople (TOWN), military personnel (“N” for national defense forces), and university personnel (GOWN). Town-N-Gown, by presenting programs and organizing joint activities, offers its members the opportunity to increase their awareness of and appreciation for the total community with its many assets.

Sept 2 TNG Board Meeting @ 9:30am in Webb Center
Sept 6 TNG Tailgate 4 to 6 PM at Kaufman Mall
Sept 13 TNG Welcome Reception 2 - 4 PM at Sailing Center
Sept 20-21 NAS Oceana Air Show - Gates open 8AM, Performances
between 10 AM and 3PM. The Blue Angels are to perform!
and TNG members will have Front Row Seating!
Sept 29 Waldo Series lecture at 7 PM on International Relations
with speaker Admiral Paparo

Town-N-Gown members are always welcome at the board meetings as well as attending any associated scheduled tours. We will normally invite ODU professionals to make a presentation during the scheduled board meeting times.
